Lesley Sutton – Crocodile Trophy 2010
The hardest, longest, hottest and most adventurous MTB race in the world!!!
Lesley has been riding for the past 15 years, but purely for pleasure.
Winning entry into the Croc Trophy was pure luck (if that’s what you would call it); by doing last year‟s RRR mountain bike race.
According to Lesley she rode the RRR on a 13 year old, 15 kilo bike, wearing board shorts and converse sneakers. She never thought she would see the day she‟d be decked out in lycra; but the time has come.
According to Lesley, “The main thing I hope to achieve is to cross the finish line. My friend said to me you have to do something big in your life, well this is mine!”
Lesley grew up in the Adelaide hills which is where she discovered her love of mountain bike riding. She has lived in Cairns for the last 10 years, is mother to a three year old girl and runs a part-time, mobile hairdressing business.
Yoga and Pilates are a big part of Lesley‟s training regime also as they help to keep her well stretched and balanced.
